Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly topic hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provide a topic and you are free to use that topic and/or variations of that topic to make your top ten list. A full list of the weekly themes can be found here.
Today’s topic is books I’d like to read again…at some point when I have time.
Pride and Prejudice – I work in a library and just ordered the Harvard UP’s annotated Jane Austen books, so I’ll probably re-read Pride and Prejudice again once that comes in.
Children of Blood and Bone – I really want to read the second book in the series but it’s been so long that I forgot what happened in the first one. Bookdragon problems!
The Thirteenth Tale – one of my favorite books and such a great book about books, but it’s been so long since I read it (middle school) that I’d love to read it again sometime soon.
Stalking Jack the Ripper & Hunting Prince Dracula– another series that it’s been so long from reading the first two that to finish the series I need to go back and re-read them.
The Diary of a Young Girl – another book that I read so long ago (8th grade) that I definitely need to revisit now, especially as I know more about their story and the Holocaust as a whole.
A Woman Without a Country – this was assigned for a poetry class I had in grad school and because of that it was read in a hurry instead of really taking the time to go through and really absorb and enjoy the poems.
The Shadow of the Wind – another book about books that I’d love to delve into again.
The Vagina Monologues – it’s a book I reread regularly and I think it’s time for another reread.
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn – This book is one of my favorite (it actually replaced To Kill a Mockingbird for me which is shocking)!
Unclobber – a book I’d like to read again to really delve into it, explore, and research what the author talks about.
Happy Reading Darlings!
I feel the same way about The Diary of a Young Girl and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.
My post.
I rarely re-read, but I’ve actually read PRIDE AND PREJUDICE a few times. It’s such an entertaining book that I just can’t help myself! TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is actually my favorite book of all-time, funny enough. I do remember loving A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN when I read it in college, but I can’t remember it at all now. A re-read is definitely in order. Maybe it will kick TKAM out of my top spot, too, but I doubt it 🙂
Happy TTT!

I wish book sequels came with recaps in the front, that would save having to reread the previous books every time a new one came out!

I have never thought of that, but that is a brilliant idea!
I’ve seen a couple of books that have them but they should definitely be more commonplace!
Gosh, I would love to reread The Thirteenth Tale! I should pull it off my shelf and get to it.
It’s so good, from what I remember! Such a great book about books but also an interesting mystery.
Yes
I feel like I really need to re-read Pride and Prejudice.. finding the time though!!
My Top Ten
Gosh, time is always against me! Especially now that I work in a library and buy all the books; my TBR list/pile is completely shot!
I remember those days. I worked in a library for 5 years and I aqurired soooo many books!!!
I wish I had more time for re-reads, but I don’t even have enough time for all the first-time reads I want! Here is my TTT post if you want to take a look: https://www.howdidthatbookend.com/top-ten-tuesdays-books-i-want-to-read-again/
I totally understand this!! It’s so hard sometimes because I love re-reading books, but there’s so many new books or books I haven’t read.
I should probably read ‘The Diary of a Young Girl’ again eventually, it’s been years. Have you read ‘Night’ by Elie Wiesel? It’s a true personal account of the Holocaust like Anne Frank’s diary but even heavier.
I actually haven’t read Night. It’s been on my list for years!
I really enjoyed Stalking Jack the Ripper when I read a couple months ago. I need to read the next book(s)! Great TTT.

I love seeing The Thirteenth Tale on your list. I’ve been thinking about rereading it lately. I read it in high school and fell in love with it, but that was a while ago!
