Apparently, I need to read more funny books because I couldn’t find any I’ve read. So, here are comedic book that I’d like to read.

My love for Nora Ephron knows no bounds, and I don’t know why I haven’t read any of her books before. I Feel Bad About My Neck (or any of her writings) are something I need to read soon!

Goodreads

I’ve heard from a friend that this was a great book. I actually got a free copy, so I definitely need to read it this year.

Goodreads

Another book that was recommended to me, one that I also own, and still haven’t read. The Eyre Affair seems like a fun and funny book and a good twist on a classic novel.

Goodreads

Okay, apparently I really need to start reading books that I already own. I meant to read this before the series premiered, but that did not happen.

Goodreads

Finally, a book that I do not own…yet! I have heard of David Sedaris for years but never actually read any of his books. Hopefully, I can read Calypso sometime this year.

Goodreads

A book I heard about since it was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize. Skippy Dies is a tragic comedy about Skippy a young Irish teenager who dies and the mysteries surrounding it.

Goodreads

A satire about a race trial that goes in front of the Supreme Court. Beatty challenges the sacred tenets of the United States Constitution, urban life, the civil rights movement, the father-son relationship, and the holy grail of racial equality―the black Chinese restaurant.

Goodreads

I’ve loved Trevor Noah for years! And, yes before you ask, I do already own this book….

Goodreads

What can I say, murder can be funny…A book about a mystery and one that’s hilarious definitely needs to be read!

Goodreads

A humorous cultural critique on misogyny in America and the #MeToo movement? Yes, please!!

Goodreads

Happy Reading Darlings!

  1. I’ve read the first five on your list, but only the Nora Ephron in print. The other four I listened to on audio. Very funny, all five! I like to listen to David Sedaris’s books on audio because he reads them himself, but they’re good in print, too. I’ll have to check out the last five on your list.

  2. Well, I’d highly recommend Good Omens. And if you’re pressed for time/ stuck with reader’s block, go for the show! Fun list, and I hope you get to read all of these.
