Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly topic hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provide a topic and you are free to use that topic and/or variations of that topic to make your top ten list. A full list of the weekly themes can be found here.

This week’s topic is on animals from books.

Any of the direwolves from A Game of Thrones-they are just so adorable and fiercely protective of their particular Stark (Snow) kid. I’m still not over Ghost’s death!

Hedwig-I mean, she was Harry’s first birthday gift and she then gave his life to protect him in the last book. It was such a signal that childhood is over and we’re now in the real world.

Fawkes-Okay, HP animal #2 because I can’t leave out Fawkes, plus I just love phoenixes.

Church-the cat from the Infernal Devices and Mortal Instruments series

Abraxos-The bestest wyvern ever! He’s so adorable and soft, even though he looks mean. Also, he’s the wyvern that was the bait and shouldn’t have been chosen, but they bond and choose each other.

Eeyore-I love all the animals from Winnie the Pooh, but Eeyore always held a special place in my heart. He still does!

Nailah-from Children of Blood and Bone. Nailah is so loyal and fiercely protective of Zelie! I absolutely want a lionaire that I can ride.

Mockingjays-I know there never actually present in the books, but I just love the symbol they represent for Katniss and the rebellion.

Appa-Yes, I cheat by including one from a show rather than a book, but I can’t leave Appa out! He’s such a good boy and ever so helpful!

Happy Reading Darlings!
