TTT | Books Set In a Place I’d Love to Visit

Posted August 2, 2022 by TheNonbinaryLibrarian in top ten tuesday / 5 Comments

I’m finally back this week! It’s been a long week, as I tested positive for Covid a week and a day ago. It’s been a hard week with being sick but I’m glad to be back.

Two weeks ago I used a similar topic for my Friday Fives, so for this one I’m going to use fictional places only.

Yes, I’m weird and would like to visit, or stay, at Hacienda San Isidro. It sounds amazing to have a house that the past inhabitants live, peacefully, within the house. I wouldn’t want to go before Padre Andrés cleansed it.

Any of the places or houses in this book would be amazing and so much fun to visit!!

The London Institute, and all the people inside it, I’d love to visit and meet!

While I’m not really a fan of Sarah J. Maas’s books anymore, I’d still love to visit the Court of Dreams, Velaris. I was pulled in by the description of it in A Court of Mist and Fury.

Any of the places in the Avatar universe would be great to visit. I’d also want my own flying bison, so, they should get working on that!

I’m a Stark through and through, and I need to visit Winterfell and have my own direwolf as well! I would love to visit any of the palaces/homes of the main families in general though too.

I’d love a chance to explore all of Hawthorne house. So many secret rooms and passages is amazing and such a dream of mine for my own house.

I think I include this on every list of this type, but I don’t care. The Cemetery of Forgotten Books is definitely a gorgeous, mysterious place I’d love to walk through for a couple hours…or days.

I’d mostly want to visit the house to visit the people who live there. The kids are so stickin’ adorable, and I love them all!! I’d either want to be best friends with Linus and Arthur or be adopted by them.

Camp Half-Blood is so cool and amazing, and it may have made me a little jealous that I never went to summer camp. Although I doubt mortal summer camp would’ve been as fun!

Happy Reading Darlings!

  1. I would love to visit Winterfell (or live there if I was in that world). I was always captivated by the descriptions of the wolfwood too nearby. Something about the North… 🙂

Highgarden sounds amazing even though totally different lol!

The Clare books look amazing as well.

    • Yes, just all the cold and snow and woods nearby sounds absolutely perfect!! And yes, I’d probably just want to visit Highgarden but it sill sounds amazing.

The Clare books are good! My favorite of her books are the Infernal Devices, set in Victorian times.
