Friday Fives | Books I’ve Read in a Book Club and Enjoyed

I started Friday Fives back when I started up the blog again and wanted to make sure I kept at least one regular post a week. This was, of course, before I knew there were others out there. But I decided to keep it, especially since I have the whole year planned out. In December, I decided to change it to Friday Fives instead to have more room for topics

This weeks topic is cantered around books I’ve read due to book club and enjoyed. I’m actually part of 2 book clubs and have quite a few books to pull from.

I absolutely loved this book! It was gorgeous and heartbreaking and surprising and funny. I found the characters so captivating and the layout of the story compelling. I also found the video games as the center of their lives so fascinating.

Having this after Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow just shows how vast my reading habits are. While nothing as serious as the previous book, this was such a fun book to read. Plus having it centred on books was a treat!

Oh my goodness, this book!! The plot, the characters, everything about this books fills me with such joy! It was such a great book about found family and it’s become one of my favourite books.

I know I’m probably in the minority, but Malibu Rising is my favourite of TJR. I think it has to do with the fact that I didn’t here a lot of hype about the book before reading it.

This was a weird, fascinating, and mind bending novella. I wouldn’t call it in my top favourite books, but it did make me think about autonomy and love in different ways.

Happy Reading Darlings!!
