Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly topic hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a topic, and you are free to use that topic and/or variations of that topic to make your top ten list. A full list of the weekly themes can be found here.
Since I’m currently between places and living with my grandma as I apply for jobs and try to get out of this godforsaken town, I don’t have all of my books on shelves. But, I do have a shelf of books that I left out from boxes, have gotten out of a box, or have bought since moving in. Here are ten of them.

Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron
Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley
The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
It Came from the Closet: Queer Reflections on Horror edited by Joe Vallese
Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune
The Midnight Lie by Marie Rutkoski
She is a Haunting by Trang Thanh Tran
Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree
Her Body and Other Parties: Stories by Carmen Maria Machado
Blindness by José Saramago
Have you read any of the ones I haven’t? Do they deserve to stay in my collection?

I listened to Cinderella is Dead and was really bored and bummed out by it. I loved the premise and everything, but found it pretty meh. The ending is good, but the journey was…not great. Maybe you’ll enjoy it more. The twists along the way weren’t bad, just…dunno. Maybe just not for me.
I’m interested to see how I like it, and I’m wondering what’ll be different from audio to print.
I’m inching closer to the top of the waitlist for Legends and Lattes at my local library. Can’t wait to read it!

That’s so exciting!! I hope you enjoy it 🙂
Under the Whispering Door is one of my all-time favorites.
FIREKEEPER’S DAUGHTER is a good one. I really liked it. It’s different and compelling and thought-provoking. I hope you enjoy it if you haven’t read it yet.
Happy TTT!

I started it yesterday and so far I’m really liking it. I’m only about 6 or 7 chapters in, and I’m interested to see where it goes.
