I actually read this one after reading The First to Die at the End. While both were well-written, I do like the second one more. It feels more real while also leaving the reader with a clearer ending. The death in the first one also felt more meaningful then these, but it’s still an emotional roller-coaster ride.

Ugh!! Maria and Peter gave me so much life. Each book in the series was better than the last one. I loved the arc of Peter and Maria’s relationship. Plus showing that women/girls are not the only ones to deal with body image issues. Such a cute, fun romance!!

At this point, Electric Idol is my favorite in the Dark Olympus series! I love an arranged marriage trope and Robert did such a great job of letting the romance between Psyche and Eros grow naturally. I’m also so here for fat main characters who love there body and know their sexy!! I also think that each book in the series does get better in the world-building aspect, as they build on each other for this world of Olympus.

This one was such a wild ride! Once James (Hook) stops being dumb and realizes that Wendy doesn’t know anything about her father, it does get better. And while I love the line “No, darling. I’ll hand you the match, and stand at your back, watching you become queen of the ashes,” I just can’t get past the whole locking her up in the basement scenes. Like I like dark romances, but I’m just not a fan of the whole captive falling in love with captor thing. It’s not for me.

List under things I didn’t know I needed till I read it, a throuple relationship between Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus. Again, it builds off the previous two books and you learn more and more about the world and how it functions. I love the relationship between the three main leads but also getting to know the characters themselves was such a treat. They all have their own issues to deal with and it’s so wonderful to see. I especially loved, loved, loved the ending and who won the competition for Ares seat.
