Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly topic hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a topic, and you are free to use that topic and/or variations of that topic to make your top ten list. A full list of the weekly themes can be found here.
This week’s TTT is a freebie, so I decided I’m going to decide what book each of the Crows from the Six of Crows characters (book and Shadow and Bone show) would have on their nightstand.

Kaz Brekker
I’d imagine that Kaz would be one of those classist readers who only reads something high brow or literary. With Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, is not only literary but it focuses on two characters “often in love, but never lovers,” which is basically Kaz and Inej.

Inej Ghafa
At first, I was thinking a cozy romance, but I ultimately decided that’s not really Inej. While Inej is in love with Kaz, what she truly desires is her family. The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet is a found-family novel, but it would still fill Inej with all the warm fuzzies that her and her family had and what she wants back.

Jesper Fahey
I love my little bisexual, ADHD, disaster! Jesper would mostly definitely exclusively read smut books. He’d also usually listen to books (without headphones, particularly during the sex scenes and when Wylan is around because he loves when Wylan blushes). Jesper would definitely love Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series. He would do dramatic readings of the sex scenes in front of Kaz and Inej just to mess with them.

Wylan Hendriks (Van Eck)
Unlike Jesper, Wylan would read cozy romances and mysteries, the lower the stakes the better. With the Crows, he has enough danger and adventures. Legends & Lattes is the slice of life, fantasy, with a dollop of romance that Wylan would love to read after the craziness that Kaz puts the Crows through.

Nina Zenik
Nina’s is the easiest to chose from. Similar to Jesper in reading books with smut, but Nina would also want to read books with fat representation. Ship Wrecked is definitely up Nina’s alley for the fat representation and for the relationship between Maria and Peter. The one-night-stand to enemies to friends to lovers would be the romance that Nina eats up (ha!).

Matthias Helvar
Like Nina, Matthias’s book was easy to choose. To explain, he wouldn’t necessarily read this book in their world since Texas and the Alamo don’t exist. This is mostly a place holder for the comparable book in the Grishaverse. While Matthias grew up in a cult, he does have a strong sense of right and wrong and would want to learn the real history and what happened.

What a fun topic!
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Thanks!! I just finished the first book in the duology, so it was fresh on my mind.
I love what you did with this. Wylan would adore Legends & Lattes.
Thank you!! I had way too much fun with this!
Fun idea for a post! I’ve never read the Six of Crows books, but I’ve heard good things…
Happy TTT!

Ok, I was never planning on reading it because I thought Shadow and Bone was not good. But I had friends who convinced me, and I went in with very low expectations. I ended up loving it!!
This post was GENIUS! I loved what you chose for each character.
Here’s my TTT post.
