Despite announced “tactical pauses” of attacks for aid trucks IOF massacred 8+ Palestinians waiting for trucks in Rafah and continued shelling across Rafah killing 2. Only 8 aid trucks entered south Gaza (minimum is 500/day). There have been 10 Palestinians killed, 73 injured in Gaza in the last 24 hours, keep in mind this is probably a low ball estimate. IOF fully raze east Rafah, destroying homes and farmland, along with destroying the Rafah crossing departure hall to keep it non-operational. IOF says it has control of 60% of Rafah, but contradicted by ongoing fierce clashes with Hamas Saturday that killed 8 soldiers. IOF in “urgent need for more troops” creating a division for age 40+. I admire your passion for what’s going on abroad. It’s a terrible situation for the innocents involved — and same in Ukraine. š I grew up during the War on Terror and became very interested in geopolitics, but it’s so depressing and cynicism-inducing I now fight my desire to stay away from it. :-/
On your list, the first one sounds like a P&P reference? Cool! I didn’t realize until I’d posted my list, but I’m apparently set for a SF summer.
I completely understand the need to stay away from it. I have to remind myself to take breaks. Especially with my anxiety and thereās always so much going on that Iāll spiral down and get too bogged down in it all, forgetting to take care of myself. So yea, staying away is always a good decision in my book.
Yes, it is! Itās the third in a series of using the works of Jane Austen as a springboard for a murder mystery. Theyāre super fun books!
I’ve read The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi and Kingdom of the Wicked, The Secret book of Flora Lea is on my own TBR as well.

The Secret Book of Flora Lea looks interesting.
I actually already finished that one this past Sunday. It was a nice and heartwarming story.
I keep meaning to grab The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi — one of my friends was super enthusiastic about it, though actually I don’t think I’ve seen many (any?) reviews…
I wasn’t a big fan of The Wisteria Society, alas.

I love everything Shannan Chakraborty writes and Amina Al-Sirafi is no exception. I’ve read Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 but I can’t remember much about it now.
The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi is amazing. Enjoy!
