As of 24 June 2024, Israeli forces are again attacking people awaiting the arrival of desperately needed trucks carrying humanitarian relief, killing at least 8 Palestinians, including security guards. Save the Children has reported that up to 21,000 children are unaccounted for since Israel launched its war on Gaza last October. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says intense fighting in Gaza is nearly over, but insists the war will continue even if a ceasefire deal is agreed with Hamas (countering the lies that it’s Hamas that breaks ceasefires or peace talks). Over 37,000 people have been killed and over 86,000 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7. The death toll in Israel from the Hamas-led attacks stands at a little over 1,000 with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza. Remember Gaza is one of the youngest countries in the would with nearly half are under 18. So much of these numbers for wounded, dead, missing, and captive Palestinians are children and we should all be horrified!

Oh, quite a few on here I’ve never heard of and I looked them up! Thanks for bringing Strange Beasts to my attention, the cover is stunning and the story sounds like something I’d love. I enjoy when there’s a mystery mixed in with other genres!!
I’m really intrigued by Strange Beasts. Definitely looks like my kind of book. Whenever I read updates about the Palestinian death toll, all I can think is the method they were using to count the dead was so disrupted that the number has stayed stagnant for months and we truly do not know how many people have been killed.
