TTT | Books with a High Page Count

Posted August 19, 2025 by TheNonbinaryLibrarian in top ten tuesday / 12 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Each Tuesday a different topic is picked by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and everyone creates a list that fits that topic (or a variation of that). This week’s topic is books with a high page count, those books that can also be door stoppers!

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon – 830 pages

The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot – 579 pages

The City of Dusk by Tara Sim – 576 pages

A Mastery of Monsters by Liselle Sambury – 592 pages

Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry – 666 pages

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness – 720 pages

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab – 511 pages

Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo – 592 pages

My Lady Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows – 512 pages

Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth – 623 pages

  1. We have two in common: A Discovery of Witches and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Oh, no, wait, I left Addie off because it was under 500 pages, which was my (self-imposed) cut-off, imposed when I had to eliminate some titles to get down to 10. The Priory of the Orange Tree is on my TBR list.
